I cut leather and faux leather to make pillows and for upholstery. These are very sharp and cut through thick “fabrics” easily.

If you need a good pair of long bladed dressmaker shears I highly recommend these. Nice & sharp, not very heavy. Easy to use with small hands despite the longer blade. Seem to be okay to use for long periods of time even with arthritis.
