If you need a good pair of long bladed dressmaker shears I highly recommend these. Nice & sharp, not very heavy. Easy to use with small hands despite the longer blade. Seem to be okay to use for long periods of time even with arthritis.

When you buy fabric scissors, use them for just fabric. These cut fabric like butter we hide them so if our kids come over, they don’t use them for something stupid

This thing cuts with surgical precision. I use it on paper and I can trim very thin slices without any effort.

These are my third pair of fabric scissors this year — the first two were disappointments. TONMA finally got it right. The 10-inch length gives great leverage for long cuts through heavy coat wool, and the ergonomic handle means I can do a full day of cutting without the wrist ache I used to get. Highly recommend for anyone doing serious dressmaking.

Just okay for the first week — then I adjusted the tension nut and everything clicked. Once calibrated to my preference, these cut through 8 layers of fleece with zero snagging. I wish the instructions on adjusting the pivot were a bit clearer, but once you figure it out, the scissors are outstanding. Docking nothing for that — just a heads up for new users.

Received these well-packaged with a light factory oil on the blades — good sign. First impression: impressively sharp. More importantly, after several months of regular use cutting denim, canvas, and assorted fabrics, the blades have held their edge. The 25,000-cycle durability claim doesn’t seem like marketing fluff. These perform consistently. That’s all I ask from a professional tool.
