We bought these for my Mom for christmas. She does a lot of sewing and needed some new scissors. She says they work great and cut really well. These are nice heavy scissors and come in a nice box. They arrived quickly with no issues.

These shears feel substantial without being tiring to use. I was worried 12 inches might be too large, but the balance is excellent. Used them to cut multiple layers of thick fleece for a quilt project and it was effortless. The Japanese steel quality is obvious the moment you hold them — this is not a flimsy product. Very impressed.

I was skeptical about the “32 layers” claim, but while I haven’t tried 32 yet, these handled 12 layers of quilting cotton and batting with zero effort. No snagging at the tips, which is usually where cheaper scissors fail. They are a bit hefty due to the forged steel, but the balance is so good that my hand doesn’t tire during long cutting sessions.

WOW! These are the best scissors I have ever purchased. They cut sharp, straight and never disappoint me. They are easy to hold and maneuver. I can see that these will definitely last me for a very long time. When you figure the longevity versus the price, it’s a good deal.

Love the cut it provides and the stability of the scissors. I cut off the bottom of my jeans and lickety split they’re done!! Best scissors ever!!

Often, long scissors lose their cutting power at the very tip of the blade. Not these. I can do intricate notch cutting and precise corner clips with the very end of the 12-inch blade. The titanium-plated surface also makes them very easy to wipe clean after using iron-on interfacing or adhesives.

I have a pair of high-end German scissors that cost twice as much, but I find myself reaching for the TONMA more often. They are lighter than they look but still have that “heft” of quality. The fact that they are corrosion-resistant is the tie-breaker for me. Truly a master-level tool for anyone who cuts fabric daily.
