TONMA® / TONMA JP® is a niche Japanese brand specializing in high-quality scissors and knives. “Happy work and happy life, creating heart-warming products” is at the heart of what we do.
Since 1998, our founder, Mr. Kawasumi, has carried forward the traditional scissor-making skills passed down from his father and established dedicated production workshops in Kanagawa and Tokyo.
Over the years, we have remained focused on scissors and knives, with gardening shears among the products we are most proud of. Rather than pursuing large-scale mass production, TONMA places greater value on craftsmanship, carefully selected materials, precise finishing, and consistent quality. Since 2018, we have expanded our international business through trading companies in Guangdong, China, and Tanjong Pagar, Singapore, serving customers across the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the United States, while gradually introducing the TONMA brand to global markets.
Our production workshops remain intentionally small and specialized. Our team includes experienced craftsmen with traditional blade-making expertise, supported by dedicated quality control professionals. This close-knit approach allows us to pay careful attention to every detail and maintain the level of quality that defines TONMA.
