    I hem a lot of jeans and my old craft scissors would always choke and chew up the flat-felled seams. These TONMA shears are a completely different animal. The weight of the blades does 90% of the work—you barely have to squeeze. Cut through six folded layers of heavy denim cleanly in one smooth motion, zero frayed threads. Worth every single penny if you work with heavy textiles.

    My hands aren’t as strong as they used to be, and squeezing dull scissors was giving me bad wrist aches. Yes, these shears have some substantial weight to them, but that heft is actually what makes them so easy on the joints.
