When should I choose anvil pruning shears?

This is EXACTLY as described. It is beautifully balanced in my hand, has a precision fit and finish, and has a very well developed robust design as an anvil pruner for dead wood (and live wood). The blade is super sharp, well aligned and very smooth during cutting, eg, rose bushes, grape vines, aggressive woody flowering shrubs like bougainvillea and raspberries.

Typically I spend hours daily in a huge garden area, much of the time pruning. I have arthritic hands, so this is very taxing. Until I bought this pruner, I could only endure an hour at most. Mostly because most pruners I’ve bought (and I’ve purchased dozens) pinch the branches off, thereby requiring lots of hand strength to accomplish the task. Even the “ergonomic” pruners were hard to use for long. But this pruner is sharp! SHARP! And the company sends you an extra spring. After months, several hours daily, of using this pruner, the blades have yet to go dull. Every once in a while I will grab another set of pruners, and they are just awful to use in comparison. Highly recommend these pruners to anyone who has many hours of pruning to do.
